Sports Mentor
Sports, particularly hockey, have been instrumental in shaping who I am today. The dedication and effort I've invested have taught me valuable life lessons and contributed significantly to my personal growth. Because of this I've learned that having someone impartial to talk to or that can share in experiences with you can be extremely beneficial. A peer who understands the challenges and decisions athletes face, is crucial for navigating the physical and mental toll of sports.

I was born in the stunning town of Banff, Alberta, Canada. At a young age my family relocated to Orangeville, Ontario, where I spent the majority of my childhood. Early on, I developed a passion for sports, with hockey holding a special place in my heart. While I enjoyed playing soccer, baseball, lacrosse, basketball, tennis, and various other sports during the summers, nothing brought me as much joy as hockey. In Orangeville, I competed in minor hockey at the AA level, unaware of the profound impact the sport would have on my life. At the age of 14, an opportunity arose to attend Bishops College School, a prep-school nestled in the small town of Lennoxville, Quebec, where I discovered the myriad opportunities, hockey could offer. Beyond the game itself, I realized its potential to shape my education, forge lasting connections, and truly learn who I was and the intangible it takes to succeed in life. It was during this time that I resolved to pursue a life centered around hockey for as long as possible.

Upon completing high school, I joined a Junior A team in Lloydminster, Alberta, a crucial step towards achieving my ultimate goal of playing college hockey. Three years later, I earned a hockey scholarship to the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where I competed in NCAA Division 1 hockey. This experience not only honed my skills in time management and dedication but also allowed me to cultivate invaluable connections that will endure a lifetime. Following four remarkable years at university, I now find myself incredibly fortunate to reside in Germany with my wife, continuing my career in professional hockey. This journey has not only afforded me the opportunity to compete at the highest levels but has also granted me the chance to explore diverse cultures and landscapes across the globe.
