SPORTS MENTORS

Athletes United Mentors all have extensive athletic experience ranging from university level competition or higher.

Our Athlete members are not only successful athletes but are highly educated, possess a positive attitude and are driven in Athletes United pursuit to assist ALL athletes 10+ in their journey through life. All Athletes United Athlete members work together as a support system in a community-based environment establishing a network or past and present athletes.

Athletes United Sports Mentors encompasses many functions. During the development of a sports mentoring relationship, a sports mentor can be identified as:

  • Teachers
  • Motivators
  • Guides
  • Counsellors
  • Sponsors
  • Coaches
  • role models

Sports Mentoring is the foundational blocks to providing kids ages 10+ with knowledge that there are people that care and understand the challenges of day-to-day life. It provides an understand to our youth and others that they do not stand alone when it comes to the pressures of education, social acceptance or athletics.
