MENTAL HEALTH

At Athletes United, we are committed to promoting mental health education, wellness and services as it relates to sport.

You are a vital part of the goal-setting counselling services.  We offer individual, couple, family and group sessions.

Our trained mental health staff work with people who are experiencing any of the following. We can arrange for telephone and secure online appointments—whatever meets your needs.

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Grief
  • Relationship and/or family difficulties or pressure
  • Stress
  • Life transitions
  • Self-esteem

If you have counselling services through your employee assistance program (EAP), this may be able to offset the cost of services.

Sport Psychologist

The goal of this program, at Athletes United, is to assist individuals with psychological support to aid with sport performance.

Our trained staff is able to support and assist people in any of the following areas:

  • Performance anxiety
  • Injury support
  • Questionable conduct
  • Sport performance

Life Coach

Our Life Coaches provide support by listening to your concerns and working with you to provide information to help you manage your mental health in sport. Life Coaches promote positive lifestyle changes and are here to help clients with outlined goals to optimize enjoyment of life. Here are some areas that a Life Coach can help you with: 

  • Create a sense of purpose
  • Develop creativity
  • Stress Management
  • Overcoming bad habit
  • Recognize inner strengths
