Anne Ibey – All-MAAC 2nd Team Soccer

Sports Mentor
Balancing life, school, and sports is a constant challenge, but it's taught me resilience and discipline. Every barrier, including failures and struggles with mental health, is an opportunity to grow stronger, both on and off the field. Success isn't just about winning—it's about pushing through adversity, learning from setbacks, and finding harmony in the chaos.

My name is Anne Ibey, I was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario where my love for sports began. I have had an extensive and accomplished background in soccer, starting with participation in local Niagara teams since the age of four. More competitively I moved to the Niagara Regional Soccer Program from 2014 to 2017, progressing to the Niagara Elite Soccer Program from 2015 to 2016. I furthered my career as a Division I student-athlete at Niagara University where I played for the women’s soccer team from 2018 to 2022. During my time at Niagara U, I earned several accolades, including being named to the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference 2nd Team in 2018 and 2022, the All-MAAC Rookie Team in 2018, the All-MAAC Preseason Team in 2019 and the All-MAAC academic team all years. I was also honored as Niagara University’s Female Newcomer of the Year in 2019 and rank 7th in all-time goals and 9th in all-time points in the university’s history.

I was a dedicated student-athlete for five years at Niagara University in Lewiston, New York, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management with minors in Marketing and Communications. I further advanced my education by completing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Each year I achieved Dean’s List and All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference academic team. During my years at university, I took my education very seriously, prioritizing schoolwork.

Through my years as a Niagara U, I was a student-athlete representative for Women’s Soccer for 4 years and a Mental Health Captain for 2 years where I served as a voice and communication line for my teammates and athletic boards. Following my university career, I competed in League 1 Ontario, representing St. Catherine’s Roma in the summer of 2022 and Electric City Football Club in the summer of 2023. Looking to advance my career and skills overseas I have now joined RIK Karlskoga in Division 2 Västra Svealand, Sweden. Here I am able to contribute to the team and enhance my soccer skills for the future of my career.
