Alexis Khoshaba – University of Minnesota Crookston Softball Team Captain
Sports have been the driving force in my life since the age of five, shaping who I am both on and off the field. They’ve taught me essential life skills like teamwork, communication, resilience, work ethic, determination, and leadership. Through sports, I’ve built lifelong friendships, gained opportunities I never imagined, and created memories that will stay with me forever.
Growing up in Vancouver, I played soccer and softball at the highest levels from the age of 12, competing in Western, National, Summer Games and World Cup tournaments across Canada and the U.S. I had the privilege of training under Team Canada coaching staff, and eventually earned a scholarship to play division 2 softball at the University of Minnesota – Crookston. Competing at the collegiate level was an experience I’ll always cherish as it reinforced my discipline, time management, commitment, and dedication.
While sports have shaped my life in incredible ways, I also understand the mental and emotional challenges that come with competing at high levels. I know firsthand how important it is to have the right support system, and that’s why I’m passionate about mentoring and guiding athletes. Success in sports isn’t just about physical ability, it’s about mindset, balance, and well-being. Taking care of our mental health is just as important as training hard, and I believe in helping athletes enjoy the journey while reaching their full potential.
I have a degree in Sport and Recreation Management with a minor in Coaching, as well as a degree in Education. With over five years of experience as a teacher and coach working in Canada, Bahrain and India, I love working with others to help them grow, succeed, and become the best versions of themselves.
Let’s work together to build confidence, resilience, and a love for the game!
