Eli Greene – BC Provincial Golf Championship

Sports Mentor
This too shall pass—challenges are not roadblocks but opportunities to grow stronger, and together, we can turn obstacles into stepping stones toward greatness.

Hi, I’m Eli—a passionate sports mentor, accomplished athlete, and advocate for mental performance and holistic well-being from Abbotsford, B.C. I attended the University of the Fraser Valley on a golf scholarship, earning a degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in active health and a minor in psychology. During my time there, I gained valuable experience working one-on-one with clients and delivering workshops to sports teams on topics related to sports psychology. My practicum involved working as a mental performance consultant at a high school in Abbotsford under the supervision of a certified mental performance consultant, further refining my skills in supporting athletes.

As a competitive golfer, I represented Canada internationally on some of the biggest stages in junior golf, won two collegiate golf events, and placed in the top 5 in multiple NCAA Division II tournaments. These accomplishments reflect my commitment to excellence and resilience, particularly in overcoming challenges posed by my diagnosis of Dysautonomia in 2016.

When I was 15 years old, I became very ill and was diagnosed with Dysautonomia, which changed my world. Dysautonomia is a condition that disrupts my body’s automatic functions, leading to symptoms like dizziness, nausea, and low blood pressure. At first, it was overwhelming—simple tasks like standing up or maintaining energy became monumental challenges. It was a time filled with uncertainty, medical tests, and adjustments to my lifestyle, including dietary changes and increased physical activity to manage my symptoms.

However, this challenge became one of my greatest teachers. I learned how to adapt and thrive in adversity, developing patience, perseverance, and a profound ability to control my thoughts and emotions. Golf became more than just a sport for me—it became a platform for building mental strength and resilience. I learned to focus on what I could control, trust the process, and stay grounded, even in the face of setbacks.

This experience taught me the value of self-awareness, the importance of a positive mindset, and how to maintain balance in high-pressure situations—skills that are just as crucial off the course as they are on it. It also deepened my empathy for others facing challenges, fueling my desire to help athletes and individuals overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

My journey with my health condition and sports have shaped my mission as a mentor: to show others that no matter what challenges you face, you can rise above them with the right tools, mindset, and support. I bring this perspective to every athlete I work with, helping you discover your strength, unlock your potential, and achieve greatness in your unique journey. Let’s tackle the challenges together and turn them into opportunities for growth and success!
